Jada Pinkett-Smith to detail life in new memoir
Jada Pinkett Smith, the wife of American actor Will Smith, is writing a new memoir in which she plans to detail her ‘complicated marriage’ to the actor.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the “no holds barred” memoir will be released next fall.
Dey Street, a HarperCollins Publishers imprint, issued the following announcement on Thursday:
Jada Pinkett Smith chronicles lessons learned in the course of a difficult but riveting journey — a rollercoaster ride from the depths of suicidal depression to the heights of personal rediscovery and the celebration of authentic feminine power.
In crisis at age 40, Jada recounts the excruciating choices she was forced to make to redefine her life in every way.
According to the announcement, the actress, who famously cheated on her Oscar-winning husband with singer, August Alsina, will recount her “unconventional upbringing in Baltimore,” her friendship with the late rapper Tupac Shakur, her love story with Smith, and her experiences with motherhood.
