Trey Songz turns self to police over alleged fight
Tremaine Aldon Neverson, a.k.a Trey Songz, has turned himself in to the police in New York after allegedly striking two individuals in October.
The New York City Police Department (NYPD), according to TMZ, learned of the event around the end of November.
The 38-year-old was charged with striking two persons in the face at a bowling alley in October, the media outlet continued.
After the incident, the first victim, according to information, was hospitalized. Songz allegedly punched the second victim, a guy, in the eye, according to reports.
Another claim made against the musician was that he obstructed efforts to address his accuser’s illness. A few weeks after the incident, the musician willingly showed up at an NYPD station.
He was reportedly questioned by the police there before being granted bail after receiving a desk appearance ticket for an alleged assault.
The singer’s attorney, Mitch Schuster, expressed confidence in the singer’s innocence in response to the occurrence.
Mitch Schuster said;
We have been proactively communicating with NY law enforcement, the DA, and all those involved. While we will respectfully and proactively work through all the appropriate channels, we are confident that Trey will be fully cleared of any wrongdoing.
This change occurs in the midst of the lawsuit that several women have brought against the musician for sexual assault.
The rapper was also detained in January 2021 on suspicion of assaulting a police officer.
