Actress gets N5m bail after accused naira misuse
Nollywood actress, Oluwadarasimi Omoseyin, has been granted N5 million in bail by Judge Chukwujekwu Anneke of the Federal High Court in Lagos for allegedly misusing the redesigned naira notes.
Ms. Omoseyin was charged on Monday by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) with walking on and spraying the newly designed naira notes.
At a gathering in the Lekki neighborhood of Lagos, the actress was accused of spraying and trampling on brand-new N100,000 notes.
But she entered a not guilty plea to the accusation.
Judge Aneke admitted the defendant to bail and one surety in the same amount in his decision on Wednesday.
