Aiteo founder Benedict Peters honored with African Philanthropy Award in Kigali
Nigerian business mogul and founder of Aiteo Group, Benedict Peters, is set to be honoured at the African Heritage Concert and Awards in Kigali, Rwanda, on April 1, 2023.
Peters will receive the African Philanthropist Award in recognition of his contributions to sports and human capital development across the continent.
The African Heritage Concert and Awards, organized by Heritage Times, seek to celebrate and honour distinguished African personalities who have made remarkable achievements across the globe. The event promises to be a night of glitz and glamour as it brings together the crème de la crème of African society.
Peters is a respected figure in the business world, having led the Aiteo and EMA Consortiums, which won separate bids to acquire three power-generating companies.
He is also set to build a 100,000 barrel refinery in oil-rich Warri, in Delta State, South-South Nigeria. Peters’ contributions to the development of human capital in Africa are also notable, particularly in the areas of education and sports.
In addition to Peters, several other prominent Africans will be honoured at the event. They include the late John Magufuli, former President of Tanzania; Her Excellency, Chief Dr. Jewel Howard-Taylor, Vice President of Liberia; Lt. Gen. Seretse Khama Ian Khama (retd), former President of Botswana; and Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, former President of Nigeria.
The African Heritage Concert and Awards is an opportunity to showcase the outstanding achievements of African leaders and personalities.
It provides a platform for Africans to celebrate their own and showcase the continent’s rich cultural heritage.
The event is expected to attract a high-profile audience, including government officials, business leaders, and celebrities from across Africa and beyond.
