Chef Vee Sets The Standards in the Nigerian Culinary Industry and Takes Us on A Burger World Tour
Vanessa Cole, renownedly known as Chef Vee, is a michelin trained private chef, consultant and culinary enthusiast who enjoys sharing her experiences through food.

As a culinary enthusiast, she enjoys exploring different cuisines, flavours, and spices from around the world.
Chef Vee’s passion for growing the Nigerian culinary and hospitality industry has seen her spearheading conversations on how stakeholders in the industry can contribute to making Nigeria a respected global food destination.

This passion birthed “Setting the Standard” by Chef Vee. A platform focused on highlighting exemplary practices in the industry, while initiating conversations with key stakeholders, and sharing expert advice on how we can achieve this together.
The first conversation kicked off on March 13th featuring renowned Chef & Restauranteur, Chef Stone and highlighted key points to note on the average experience that Nigerian restaurants deliver to their customers, as well as suggestions on how some daunting issues can be improved.
In a bid to move this conversation forward, a panel discussion with a few female stakeholders in the industry including; Chef Zoey Blaq, Chef Nkesi Enyioha & Wura Odunsi took place at the one year anniversary of Chef Vee’s The Ladies Brunch. A 2-part event that featured the panel discussion, as well as a unique brunch experience by Chef Vee. This event was organize by Chef Vee & Cole Cooks, in partnership with Fame Lagos, and, Hegai & Esther Cosmetics.
Setting the Standard is driven by Chef Vee’s passion for challenging the culinary industry and driving the standard by educating stakeholders on the importance of offering a holistic dining experience for its customers.
As part of her goals to consistently offer unique culinary experiences, Chef Vee took some amazing guests on a Burger World Tour tagged ‘The Wandering Traveller’ on the 6th of April 2023. The Burger World Tour showcased four flavoursome burgers inspired by some of Chef Vee’s favorite cities in the world; Lagos, London, Bangkok, and Cozumel.
‘The Wandering Traveller’ is inspired by Chef Vee’s fascination for international culture and local cuisine which has served as a stimulant for her since she gets to fuse different flavours to create exquisite yet exciting dishes. This series embodies Chef Vee’s belief that food brings people, culture, and history together.
