Elijah Ogann picks October 10 to drop new single, “Woyoyoyoyo”
Multi-talented artist, actor, writer, and model, Elijah Ogann Anighoro, has unveiled plans to keep making a mark.
He’s creating a buzz with his latest musical project, “Woyoyoyoyo,” which is scheduled to drop on Tuesday, October 10.
The multiple talented entertainer also shared some intriguing insights about his journey and what’s to come.
Elijah, who is currently based in the United Kingdom, embarked on his international career after securing acting and modeling contracts with a top British/Hollywood agency.
Reflecting on his move, he revealed, “I don’t know if I’ll call my move to London, leaving for greener pastures. I got an acting and modeling contract with a top British/Hollywood agency, and I had to move to fulfill the contract, as it required me to be based in London.”
Discussing the challenges he encountered in the UK, Elijah Ogann touched on the issue of systemic racism, sharing that he rarely encountered individuals who looked like him in the industry. “Systemic racism is a real thing,” he emphasized, noting that the experience only reinforced his determination to succeed in the face of adversity.
Amidst his thriving career in the UK, Elijah Ogann is about to release his latest single, “Woyoyoyoyo.” He described the song as a rebranded sound for his music career, one that he believes will firmly establish his name in the music industry. “It took two years to get to, with some of the sharpest minds in music pruning and guiding all the way. I’m sure everyone will love it,” he said.
When asked about the inspiration behind “Woyoyoyoyo,” said the song simply implies an exclamation you make when the exclamation ‘wow’ does no justice to a pleasant situation,” he revealed.
In addition to his music career, Elijah Ogann is set to release a short film titled “I Don’t Care,” which has already received numerous festival nominations and won multiple awards worldwide. He envisions a creative path that combines both his music and movie endeavors, shaping the Elijah Ogann brand in the coming years.
Having spent a considerable amount of time away from his home country, Nigeria, he expressed his longing for various aspects of Nigerian life. “I miss the movie and music industry. I miss the Lagos vibe and culture. I miss the food. I miss my family and friends. 2 years is a long time to be away,” he said, highlighting the unique charm of Nigeria while acknowledging challenges like insecurity and power outages.
