Renowned for its celebration of African heritage through casual wear, Asha Design Palace emerges as a unique fashion brand that seamlessly blends traditional motifs with contemporary designs, ensuring that each piece reflects the rich diversity and beauty of the continent.

With a mission to craft stylish, culturally significant pieces, the fashion brand offers a range of products – from bespoke designs to ready-to-wear collections – all created with quality and innovation in mind.

Asha Design Palace, where Aishat Olanrewaju Folaranmi superintends as the Creative Designer, took a giant stride by showcasing its designs at the Fashion Finest Africa, which took place in Lagos on June 1, 2024.

Tagged: ‘Epic Show, the event provided the talented designer a credible platform to display her latest collection, Ash Summered Up to a wider audience of fashion enthusiasts and industry professionals. Indeed, to Aishat, it was a thing of pride and honour to represent her brand and share her haute couture vision at the show.

Featuring bold prints, intricate patterns and innovative designs, the Ash Summered Up consists of a diverse range of clothing and fewer accessories.

The collection includes elegant evening gowns, stylish casual dresses and versatile day-to-night outfits.

Crafted with traditional African prints, the kaftans look comfortable and trendy. Also, there are 2-piece cropped tops and pants, 2-piece shirts and pants with unique patterns and sleek silhouettes.

Each piece is designed for functionality, versatility and comfort.

The collection is made of different fabrics including traditional African textiles like Ankara, Adire and Kente. These fabrics are combined with modern materials such as silk, chiffon and cotton to create a harmonious blend of texture and style.

Ash Summered Up is highly versatile and adaptable to different environments. The materials are breathable and comfortable, making them suitable for different climates. Additionally, the designs are created with functionality in mind, ensuring that they can be worn in both casual and formal settings.

The creative process in crafting the beautiful designs entails extensive research into traditional African patterns and motifs. From sketching to combination of different fabrics, to creation of prototypes and refining the designs through multiple iterations, the designer ensured that every piece meets the brands high standard of quality and creativity.
Aishat injected innovation into the designs by incorporating trendy cuts and silhouettes with classic African patterns, thus creating pieces that are both contemporary and timeless.

However, sustainability was achieved by utilizing eco-friendly fabrics and practices that are compliant with production ethics.
In creating her collections, Aishat gives priority to originality and authenticity, ensuring that each piece tells a unique story that sets the brand apart from others.
Looking ahead, Asha Design Palace aims to continue creating collections that inspire confidence and elegance. However, the brand will go far if it remains steadfast and sticks to its roots and ethos of celebrating African heritage through innovative designs.
