The Nigerian fashion industry has undergone a crucial transformation in recent years, returning to its roots with a renewed focus on individuality and self-expression.

Amidst this continuous reinvention process, the Bold and Beautiful You collection stands out as timeless, versatile, vibrant, and ready to offer wearers the essence of embracing their unique identity and exuding confidence.

Tosan Jogho, the creative director of Oritsema’s Threads & Atelier, showcased the collection at the prestigious Fashions Finest Africa Epic Show on May 31st and June 1st, 2024.

This collection is rooted in celebrating individuality, confidence, and inclusivity. Tosan’s vision for Bold and Beautiful You is to empower individuals to embrace their unique beauty and body shape and express themselves through fashion.

The beauty of this collection is that it is all-inclusive, from striking colors and bold patterns to sleek lines and minimalistic elegance. It offers a diverse range of styles that cater to various tastes and occasions for a diverse audience.

Tosan’s designs are known for their attention to detail and high-quality materials; this collection is no exception. His creativity and skills are reflected in each piece in the collection, allowing him to create unique, high-quality fashion pieces that look stunning and feel comfortable and functional.

Tosan is committed to sustainable fashion practices, incorporating eco-friendly materials and ethical production methods in her design process. The collection includes plain and patterned cotton fabrics, dull-face satin material, cargo fabrics, silk, cashmere, and crepe.

The collection features an array of outfits suitable for everyday wear and special occasions, ensuring everyone can find something that resonates with their style.

The collection comprises women’s shirt dresses, shirts, high-waist skirts, shorts, trousers, crop tops, bum shorts, kaftans, and even a two-piece street-style khaki set.
One of the dresses in the collection is a striking yellow ensemble consisting of a shirt and matching bum shorts.

The bright yellow silk fabric radiates energy and confidence, perfect for making a bold fashion statement. Most shirts feature a structured collar and a sleek design, while the shorts provide a comfortable yet chic look. One of the standout dresses in the collection that captivated attendees of the event was the mini-art shirt dress, in which one of the pieces is a charming rust-colored dress that exudes elegance.

With a whimsy touch, the shirt dress glows with colorful embroidered flowers near the hemline, which enhances the overall look, adding artistic flair without overwhelming its simplicity.

Think of the street-style khaki two-piece set made from cargo fabric as an ideal style for transitioning from casual daytime outings like brunch with friends, shopping, and picnics to evening events like dinner dates, cocktail parties, and much more. This dress features a cropped shirt with short sleeves and a matching high-waist skirt, adding a feminine touch to the rugged aesthetic. The cargo pockets, khaki color, and paired classic black heels add a practical and trendy touch characteristic of street-style clothing.

Tosan used white, bright yellow, light green, lilac, deep orange, bold red, black, gray, beige, brown, and cream to achieve the Bold and Beautiful You collection.
The collection’s unveiling at the event was spectacular. Models graced the runway, embodying the collection’s essence. Attendees remarked on the clear message of self-expression and individuality conveyed through the designs.
Through this collection and his many other works, Tosan continues to set new standards for contemporary fashion. The collection offers a wealth of options to help people embrace their bold and beautiful selves.
