Delta State is set to host Nigeria’s biggest food festival this December. The Delta Food and Drink Festival, scheduled for the 14th and 15th of December at Saint Patrick’s College Asaba, promises a culinary extravaganza that will showcase the state’s rich cultural heritage and diverse cuisine

The festival which would be hosted by comedians Realwarripikin and Mc Shakara will feature a wide array of mouthwatering dishes, from traditional delicacies to innovative fusion cuisine. Local chefs will showcase their culinary skills, creating dishes that reflect the unique flavors of Delta State. Visitors can indulge in a variety of local delicacies, including seafood, soups, stews, and desserts.

The festival is more than just a food event. It is a celebration of Delta State’s culture and heritage. Attendees can enjoy live music performances by renowned artists like Peruzzi, Xbusta, and Ugoccie.

There will also be cultural dance performances, a comedy show, and a theatre play that highlights the state’s rich traditions.

A highlight of the festival is the cooking competition, where talented chefs will battle it out for a grand prize of N1 million and top-of-the-line cooking equipment. The competition is expected to be fierce, with participants showcasing their skills in front of a live audience.

The Delta Food and Drink Festival is a community-driven event, with neighboring regions invited to participate. The festival aims to foster unity and appreciation for the diverse cultures of Nigeria.
