De-She Kollection’s SNOW WHITE Pieces: A Vision of Purity, Elegance, and Power

De-She Kollection’s Snow White 2025 collection was less about spectacle and more about the quiet exploration of how fabric can shape mood, presence, and identity.

Designed by Sheba Sharon Quartey, the all white collection opened with a dazzling all-white palette which is a timeless choice that exudes purity, elegance, and power.

The structured bodice, delicately embellished with sequins and beadwork, adds a touch of glamour and femininity, while the fitted satin trousers elongate the frame with sleek precision.

The true showstopper, however, is the voluminous floor-length coat, featuring exaggerated puff sleeves that balance strength with romance. Its sweeping silhouette injects movement and grandeur, transforming the look from merely stylish to unforgettable.

Adding a high-fashion twist, the metallic hat adorned with cascading fringe veils the face in mystique, elevating the entire outfit to couture-level artistry. The silver heels perfectly tie into the futuristic vibe, without distracting from the boldness of the attire.

This look embodies the fearless creativity thriving in African fashion today—confident, boundary-pushing, and unapologetically glamorous. It’s an ensemble that speaks to modern royalty, a celebration of individuality with a flair for drama.

The second piece is a striking statement that blends avant-garde drama with refined sophistication. More than just clothing, this is a work of art that demands attention and critical appraisal.

The outfit’s power lies in its masterful play on texture and form. The top, a cascade of ruffled, semi-sheer fabric, creates an ethereal and almost cloud-like effect around the shoulders, balancing a daringly plunging neckline. This soft, romantic volume is contrasted with a structured, intricately beaded or embroidered bodice that cinches the waist, drawing the eye inward. The juxtaposition of these elements — the airy ruffles and the sharp, deliberate beading — is a key strength, showcasing the designer’s technical skill and artistic vision.
The lower half of the look is a modern and confident take on a traditional silhouette. The high-waisted shorts are sharp and tailored, offering a contemporary edge that grounds the look.

However, the true showstopper is the dramatic train, a beautiful, flowing extension that adds a sense of grandeur and movement. The lace-like texture of the train, with its delicate perforations, hints at traditional Nigerian lace or embroidery, subtly connecting this avant-garde piece to a rich cultural heritage.

This ensemble is a resounding success, a testament to the innovative spirit of modern African fashion. It is a look that is both deeply glamorous and fiercely modern. It speaks to a global audience while retaining a subtle nod to local aesthetics. It’s a risk that paid off beautifully, proving that in fashion, the greatest rewards often come from the boldest statements.

Then comes the third piece; a white couture gown presents a bold and artistic statement, pushing the boundaries of traditional fashion while maintaining an air of elegance. The voluminous, multi-tiered skirt, adorned with delicate floral embroidery, creates a dramatic silhouette that commands attention. The fitted bodice with sheer, lace-embellished long sleeves adds a touch of refined femininity.
However, the most compelling element of this ensemble is the avant-garde headpiece.

The stark white fringe, cascading dramatically over the model’s face, introduces a theatrical and almost ethereal quality. While undeniably visually captivating and perfect for a high-fashion editorial, its practicality for everyday Nigerian events might be limited.

The choice of all-white is clean and sophisticated, allowing the intricate details of the fabric and the unique structure of the gown to take center stage. The subtle shimmer on the model’s skin and the delicate drop earrings complement the overall look without distracting from the central focus of the outfit.

With Snow White, Quartey presented a vision of authority and refinement, proving that subtlety can resonate as powerfully as grandeur.

De-She Kollection continues to define African luxury fashion through designs that embody sophistication, elegance, and narrative depth—pieces that not only dress the body but also tell stories capable of captivating audiences worldwide.
