The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, and his wife, Queen Ashley Afolashade, are filled with joy as they celebrate the first birthday of their son, Prince Ademakinwa. 

In an Instagram post, the Ooni expressed that his son is a blessing to both him and the sacred throne of Oduduwa. 

He wrote a heartfelt note, stating, “My beloved son, Omooba Ademakinwa. You are a true blessing to me and to the sacred throne of Oduduwa. As you continue to grow in wisdom, strength and grace, always remember the divine heritage you carry as a prince of Ile-Ife. As you celebrate your birthday, may your path be guided by the values of honor, humility, and service to humanity. I am proud to see you walking in the light of Olodumare as you are one today!  With fatherly love and royal blessings.”

Queen Ashley also shared an emotional tribute, referring to her son as their “beloved SONshine” and giving thanks for a smooth journey from pregnancy to birth. 

She praised her husband for being a caring father and supportive partner, recalling how he remained connected with her during her time in the hospital.

She concluded with a heartfelt message: “Our son, may you continue to grow in wisdom, strength, and grace, and may your life shine brighter with each passing year. You are deeply loved.”
