Josso Leolidas Ewane Expands Creative Influence With Film and Beauty Ventures
Nigerian-Cameroonian actress and filmmaker Josso Leolidas Ewane is gaining increasing attention across Africa’s entertainment and beauty industries as she expands her dual career in film production and cosmetics, positioning herself as one of the emerging multi-hyphenate creatives on the continent.

Ewane, founder of LJ Studios Ltd, has built a growing portfolio of films, including The Intruder, Un Miracle de Noël, and Courtise l’Épouse, alongside her recent appearance as “Gift” in the 2025 Nollywood release I Want Your Man. Her work is noted for its thematic focus on women’s experiences, emotional depth, and social issues, including an upcoming project addressing endometriosis awareness.
Alongside her film career, she is also the founder of LJ Cosmetics, a beauty brand operating in Nigeria and Cameroon, offering affordable and inclusive products for young African women. The brand, formerly known as LJ Collection, has gained traction for what Ewane describes as “beauty that is accessible without compromising elegance.”
Speaking on her journey balancing both industries, Ewane said her mission is to “tell authentic African stories while creating products that make women feel seen, confident, and represented.”
Industry observers say her rise reflects a growing shift in Nollywood and Cameroonian cinema, where creatives are increasingly merging entertainment with entrepreneurship to build sustainable careers. With plans to expand LJ Cosmetics to more African countries and unveil new film projects in 2025, Ewane’s profile continues to grow both on and off screen.
Her team says she remains committed to using her platform to empower women across the continent, adding that her Christian faith and personal experiences have shaped her drive for purposeful storytelling.
As both her film studio and beauty line gain visibility, Josso Leolidas Ewane is emerging as one of the faces of Africa’s new generation of creative entrepreneurs.
