Moses Armstrong has defied the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) and is now back at work. In front of a magistrate court in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, the actor was recently accused of raping a minor. Prior to his arrest and subsequent incarceration, the actor was suspended by the Actors Guild of Nigeria, the country’s association of actors. After being detained for a few weeks, Judge Ntong Ntong recently released him on bond in the amount of N5 million. Netflix to sponsor West African students in film, television courses
Netflix has asked West and Central African film and television students to apply for its Creative Equity Scholarship Fund (CESF). In a statement on Tuesday, the streaming juggernaut announced the scholarship. In accordance with the statement, chosen candidates would have the chance to study at institutions in a variety of countries, including Nigeria, Ghana, Benin, and Gabon. According to Netflix, the CESF, which was established in 2021, will provide funding to a number of initiatives over the following five years in an effort to create a robust, diversified global pipeline of creatives.
