Afeni Shakur, Tupacs Mom dies at 69
It has been reported by the Marin County sherrif that Afeni Shakur Davies, mother of late Tupac Shakur, died last night at the age of 69.
Cause of death is yet to be ascertained but she is said to be found dead in her Los Angeles home after the Sherrif’s office responds to a possible Cardiac arrest around 9.30 pm.
Afeni Shakur was made popular by her late son, Tupac Shakur when he released the song “Dear Mama” in 1995. The song was emotional and epitomized motherhood and motherly love through his own mother.
Afeni lost her son Tupac when he was just 25 years of age in 1996 to a drive by shooting. She remained strong after this and became executor of his estate, releasing several of his posthumous musical albums and singles. She also set up charity foundation “Amaru Foundation of The Arts” where she helped young people study art.
