Grazia Chiuri bows out of Valentino
Fashion house giant, Valentino, yesterday announced that Maria Grazia Chiuri, who has been co-creative director was stepping down from her position; one she has held for eight years. Her long time design associate, Pierpaolo Piccioli, takes over as sole creative director of the label known for beautiful evening garments.
Chiuri and former co-creative director, worked together for many years to make the brand a prime choice for celebrities as far as the red carpet is concerned.
Some celebrities who have adorned the Valentino brand include: Anne Hathaway, Rihanna, Amy Adams, Lupita Nyongo, Edie Campbell
“After 25 years of creative partnership and of professional satisfactions, we gave ourselves the opportunity of continuing our artistic paths in an individual way with the reciprocal desire of further great achievements,” Chiuri and Piccioli said in the release made available yesterday.
