Nigerians have very strong reactions to news of the Wife of President Mahammad Buhari, Aisha Buhari travelling to the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) with a personal make-up artist.

Reactions started to pour in when Abuja-based makeup artist,  Fati Mamaz of  Mamaz Beauty uploaded a photo of Aisha Buhari on her Instagram page @mamzabeauty, getting prepped up for her meeting with US First Lady, Michelle Obama and wrote: “Getting her Excellency @aishambuhari ready for her meeting with @michelleobama on her global girls empowerment program. Our beautiful First Lady is very simple when it comes to her everything about her including her makeup…powder, eyeliner, eyebrows and lipstick. Her skin is beautiful and delightful to work on. #MAMZIFIED #mamzabeauty #mamzawowza #AishaMbuhari #futureassured #MeetingwithMrsObama.”

It did not help that the President’s media team issued a statement claiming Aisha’s delegation, which included her two daughters, Halima and Zahra is privately financed.
