”Queen of Katwe” is a new movie hitting box offices worldwide. It is a true story of a Ugandan girl who transformed her life by becoming a national chess champion. Playing the lead characters were Lupita Nyong’O, David Oyelowo and Madina Malwanga.

The inspiring biography drama movie was directed by Mira Nair. The movie ”Queen of Katwe” has a number of soundtracks from Davido and MC Galaxy songs

‘Skelewu’ and ‘Sekem’ from Davido and MC Galaxy were some of the songs, which formed parts of the soundtracks of the new flick.

The management of both music stars have declined to comment on how much they got from the usage of the musicians’ songs in the movie, although, it is certain they would be smiling to the bank.

You will recall that Tubaba ”Innocent” Idibia had his song ”African queen” featured on the movie ”Phat girls” which earned him a whooping sum of money. Also Grammy Award winner, Alicia Keys’ new song-Back to life made the list, however, most of the soundtracks were taken from British film composer, Alex Heffes.
