His Royal Highness, Eheneden Erediauwa, now known hence as Omo N’Oba N’Edo Uku’ Akpolokpolo Ewuare 11, was yesterday crowned the 39th Oba of Benin Kingdom, succeeding his late father, Omo n’ Oba n’ Edo Uku Akpolopkolo in well attended ceremony in Benin city.
As a matter of custom, the new Oba is to married 3 beautiful wives, Princess Iroghama ( Obazuaye N’erie), Princess Iyayiota ( Obazuwa N’erie) and Princess Ikpakpa (ohe N’erie), who were all dressed in white with their heavily beaded head dress on their heads during the coronation.
Erediauwa is ascending the 836-year-old throne of his ancestors which is the oldest and one of the most revered in Nigeria.
