Bariga born singing duo and siblings, Ekemode Rasheed Enitan, aka ‘Ray’ and Ekemode Ganiu Omobolaji, aka ‘Jay’, with the stage name, Hypa have been unveiled as the first signed artistes to fast rising record label, Dreams Records.

The unveiling which doubled as the official launch of the duo’s new single, ‘Alert’, took place at a press briefing held in Ikeja, Lagos recently.

Influenced by the Late Fela Anikulapo Kuti, King Sunny Ade, Evangelist Ebenezer Obey and a host of others, Hypa is set to rock the Nigerian music industry with a unique fusion of Afro and Highlife.

According to one of the singing duo, it is an opportunity for their music to be heard. “It is an incredible opportunity to be heard as we continue to grow our talent and many more with Dreams Records.”

CEO Dream Records, Oni Ebenezer Kehinde, boasted that his new acts have what is required to compete with the likes of Olamide, Wizkid and other talented artistes in the Nigerian music industry. “We feel this is the right time to announce our first acts because we have listened to what they have to offer and we are convinced that they have what it takes to compete on the Nigerian music scene.
