”Money, In-laws and cultural differences are the major causes of divorces”- Relationship expert, Leke Alder

Relationship expert and life coach, Leke Alder said that marriages break down most times because of cultural differences, In-laws, un-forgiveness and lack of sex.

The seasoned relationship expert was one of the speakers at the 4th edition of Mind the Gap X on Saturday, December 10, 2016, alongside other seasoned relationship and marriage counsellors such as Fela and Tara Durotoye, Ali Baba and Mary Akpobome, Olu Jacobs and Joke Silva and Pastor Bolaji and Omowunmi Idowu.

According to Mr. Alder, the major causes of divorce include money issues, manipulative tendencies, selfishness, clash of cultural philosophies, emotional and physical abuse, in-laws and un-forgiveness. He said:

”For men, two problems seem to stand out from the list.

“Men are particularly prone to money and sex problems.”

“When men don’t have money, they begin to malfunction in marriage. They become irritable and extra-sensitive.”

“As per sex in marriage, the make up of [a] man is such that denial makes him prone to alternative sources of supply.”

According to the author and popular consultant, that is not a justification for male indiscretions but “It’s just a statement of fact.”

The event was about Love, Music and Sex which held at Guiding Light Assembly, Lagos convened by Pastor Wale Adefarasin alongside The Catalyst, Lanre Olusola.
