A new date has been set aside for the wedding of President Buhari’s daughter, Aisha Buhari and her lover, Ahmed Indimi.
The two love birds would be joined in matrimony on December 16, 2016 after an initial postponement.
The earlier date for the nuptials had been widely publicised, until, according to reports, the President stepped in and asked the ceremony to be moved to a later date.
It has being reported that the President, who preferred a low-key celebration, did not like the attention being drawn to the ceremony.
The media attention, the groom’s family’ gifts to Zahra, which included 30 expensive Louis Vuitton bags, was also another source of grief for the President.
A new invitation card which has now surfaced gives reason to believe that a new wedding date has been fixed December 16, 2016.
“H.E Haj Aisha M Buhari cordially invites you to the wedding Fatiha of her daughter Zahra Buhari and Ahmed Indimi which will take place on December 16th while the Kamu will take place in Abuja. Details of the events will be communicated to you,” reads the words of the invite.
Zahra, the bride is a graduate of microbiology from the University of Surrey, England and an ambassador for SCAF, an organisation concerned with tackling and minimizing sickle cell, and the groom is the son of billionaire, Mohammed Indimi, and holds the position of the Marketing Director of Oriental Energy Resources.
