Renowned make up artist and the pioneer of the no-make-up look,  Bobbi Brown, is leaving her namesake label, which she started with 10 lipsticks in New York City in 1991 and was later acquired by Estee Lauder Companies in 1995.

Brown, in a statement, she released noted that, “The brand’s 25-year anniversary was a wonderful milestone that made me realize it was time to start a new chapter and move on to new ventures,”

She continued: “I am thankful for the extraordinary people that I’ve had the privilege to work with over the years and proud of the creative endeavors and innovative products we’ve created together. I am also incredibly grateful to The Estee Lauder Companies and the Lauder family for the many opportunities they gave me. I’m excited to see what the future holds.”

In addition to launching a successful makeup range, Brown has also authored eight books focused on beauty, including Everything Eyes (2014) and Bobbi Brown Pretty Powerful (2012), and previously served as editor-in-chief of Yahoo Beauty.

Lauder, executive chairman of The Estee Lauder Companies. “More than two decades ago, we met an extremely creative makeup artist with a revolutionary idea that changed the way women feel about beauty. According to WWD, global brand president Peter Lichtenthal will oversee the business after Brown’s exit.
