A popular female Tanzanian artiste, Kijakazi Pazi Shaban a.k.a Zamzam, is reported to have passed way last week after she was ruthlessly beaten by her husband, Ally.

Kijakazi Pazi Shaban, who was once a member of Kidedea music group died at her home in Musoma.

Reports have it that this is not the first time, Ally has attacked his wife as she has on several occasions sent gory images of her bruised body to friends, saying she had been cruelly beaten by her husband. She had also told them to hold her husband accountable for anything that happened to her.

It was alleged that her husband tried to cover up the murder of the popular songstress when he asked his boss for a vehicle to take her to hospital.
The family of the deceased said; “Sad news about Zamzam’s death reached us, and we were informed that she died as a result of stomach ulcers. Her husband then said he would bury her in Kilimanjaro area. But as family, we had to know why, and when.”

A source revealed to the country’s newspaper saying: ”Zamzam had in the past sent gory photos of her deformed, wounded face to friends, saying she had been cruelly beaten by her husband – and that if anything would happen to her, then her her husband should be held accountable,”

Meanwhile, postmortem performed at a Temeke hospital on Zamzam’s body revealed that the singer succumbed to her injuries following severe beatings. Zamzam’s husband, Hamad Ally, has been arrested and is being held at Chang’ombe police station as investigations continue.
