As a star, there are prices one pay for fame. Ella Mensah, who has traversed into the two most popular African film industries, Nollywood and Ghollywood, has encountered some of those prices.
The Ghanaian born actress, who started out in 2010 with the movie, Bed of roses, revealed what fame has robbed her of.
Hear her: “Fame is very expensive and if you one is not very careful, its will rob you of your freedom. It has already robbed me of my freedom; some things I use to do openly, now I can do them in peace.
I could remember what a fan did to me in United States( New York) when I went for one of my awards ceremony. A guy from nowhere, who is fan just walked up to me to take a selfie. He didn’t event bother whether I was in the mood for all that I not. It made me a bit embarrassed. But at some point I realized, I’m blessed and that I am equally on the right track in my chosen profession as an actor.”
The TV star also projected where she sees her brand 10-years time.
“My brand project in 10 years to is build a home for oldies. Older people, who have no family and those whose families have abandon them. I love older people. And also the brand Ella Mensah will be bigger and better, by God’s grace”
