It was an exciting food time in Lagos last week, as lovers of good food, were treated to the best of French cuisines in selected restaurants in Lagos. The event,  the 2nd edition of Gout de France, which means Good France Food, was in celebration of French gastronomy, which kicked off last Tuesday.
The event which featured over 2, 000 restaurants in 150 countries across the globe, saw participating chefs from all over the world, cook a dinner as a tribute to the excellence of French cuisine and its capacity to innovate and unite people around the common values of sharing and enjoyment, in a planet-friendly and healthy way.
At the Sky Restaurant Eko Hotels Lagos, guests and journalists were treated to sumptuous meals from Chef Benjamin Tarigan.‎ The French cuisine proved to be all about healthy eating and enjoyment, which was apparent on faces of guests as they savored every meal with pleasure.
Speaking on the occasion, Jean-Raoul Tauzin, Air France general manager and‎ sponsors of the event, said the beauty of Air France is to serve French cuisine to support the dynamics of the French cuisine worldwide “it is the tradition of France to show the public the gastronomy of France, the pleasure of cooking and tasting and we are delighted to  support the evolution of the French cuisine”  The idea he says is to promote French tourism through cuisine and to showcase the diversity in French gastronomy.
