”They see death as an escape but there is always a better tomorrow”- OAP, Lolo1 speaks on suicide
By Patricia Uyeh
On Air personality, Omotunde Adebowale, popularly called Lolo1 in a recent chat has revealed why most people commit suicide.
She made the revelation while speaking with HipTV. She said:
”Trust me, we need to help one another. Suicide is not a thing that can’t happen to anybody. It is just a state of hopelessness and usually what happens, is that you are fearing your future. A person…someone that fears her future believes things are not going to get better. They see death as escape, that if I die, I escape but they don’t know that there is always a better tomorrow.
”As long as you are alive, you never know. One small thing can change the indices of your life and everything that has challenged you would turn to something light that you can always overcome.
”So I always encourage people ….if you know you are depressed talk to someone. there would always be someone willing to listen and let everybody too, not turn away from ourselves”
