Exploring Legid Styles: The Future of Corporate Fashion at Lagos Fashion Fair

The Lagos Fashion Fair 2023 was an electrifying experience, buzzing with creativity and style enthusiasts from all walks of life. From the moment I stepped into the grand Eko Convention Center, I was drawn into a world where fashion spoke volumes without uttering a word.

Among the many incredible exhibitors, one brand that caught my attention was Legid Styles, owned by Chioma Glory Chukwukere.

Their stand was neatly arranged, exuding sophistication and professionalism. Mannequins dressed in sharp, elegant pieces stood at attention, as if daring visitors to upgrade their wardrobes. A bold banner beside them read: “Your Go-To for Office, Casual & Classic Wear.”

That was all the invitation I needed.I moved closer, scanning through the neatly arranged rails filled with a variety of outfits.

The first piece I laid my hands on was a structured white blazer paired with red tailored pants. It was the perfect blend of bold and corporate its a piece that commanded attention in the boardroom yet remained chic enough for a dinner date after work. The fabric was soft yet firm, the stitching precise.

It whispered, “I mean business, but I do it in style.”Next, I flipped through a collection of patterned dresses, some floral, others geometric. One particular black and white grid-patterned dress caught my eye. It was playful but not too loud, perfect for a semi-casual Friday at the office. However, next to it was a piece that made me pause, a floral dress with an overpowering mix of colors.

While vibrant and energetic, it felt a little too busy for my taste. A bold choice, but not for the faint-hearted, I thought, smiling at the variety on display. Then, I came across a sleek black dress with statement sleeves, a true power outfit. The kind that would make you feel like you owned the room the moment you walked in. It was elegant, minimalistic, and effortlessly classy.

This was one of those rare finds that belonged in every professional woman’s closet. Of course, not every outfit spoke my language. A few pieces felt too conservative for my personal style, and some cuts didn’t flatter as much as I would have liked. But that’s the beauty of fashion, there’s something for everyone. And Legid Styles had clearly mastered the art of blending corporate formality with modern trends. As I walked away from their stand, I found myself mentally curating outfits for different occasions: Monday meetings, mid-week presentations, and Friday happy hours. It was evident that Legid Styles had something for every working professional who wanted to dress the part without compromising on style.

Would I be shopping from them soon? Absolutely. After all, power dressing is not just about clothing, it’s about confidence. And Legid Styles seemed to have that in abundance.
