NarciaThe world’s first women’s handbag with built-in-life-saving SOS calling and GPS tracking, has been launched by Aubry Lane. The new line of bags which comes in 16 styles, including clutches, back packs, totes, laptop bags,  shoulder bags etc, is the product of a collaboration between designers and technology experts.

The “secret” of the Emergency cellphone & GPS handbag, lies in the Aubry Lane Amulet, a small emergency cell phone. This super compact device nestles into a hidden pocket within each Aubry Lane bag. It then connects to a global, cellular network and keeps track of the purse and your geographic location at all times.
This innovative handbag, also allows the carrier to call or text with your location to a predetermined network of (5) people from the touch of a single button.
The bags with style and function are produced from quality leather and with fine finishing in a range of designs that fits every woman’s lifestyle. They are also suitable for daily use as well as for travel.

Asked on the inspiration for the Aubry Lane GPS bag, Director of Public Relations for Aubry Lane, Catherine Horton, said:
“Safety is something that is on most women’s minds when they are walking alone at night. This is a valid fear because 1 in 5 women have or will be sexually assaulted in their lifetime. Many women have had their purses stolen as well, which can lead to never-returned items and identity theft. For these reasons, came into being to merge fashion and safety. Aubry Lane aims to empower women by giving them a safety feature hidden within something beautiful and stylish that they will carry with them”.

The bags according to Horton, are targeted at “women who are on the go, women in larger cities, women on college campuses, women who travel, women who use public transportation, any woman who is concerned with safety”.

The Aubry Lane bags which was launched on February 5, 2017, is currently making waves amongst fashion and bags enthusiasts not only in Indianapolis but around the globe.
