Day 2 at the GTBank Food and Drink Fair 2017

By Patricia Uyeh
Despite the rainfall, people from all walks of life still trooped to the Water corporation, Victoria Island, venue of the GTBank Food and Drinks fair.

It had in attendance both the young and the old, the working class and students, the fashionistas and of course, celebrities

There were different vendors exhibiting their food items. Some sold fresh fruits and vegetables, others sold processed foods. There was even a section that stocked foreign food items.

The master class was one of the highlights of the event. Even though, it started behind schedule, it witnessed an array of curious and teachable audience, who were eager to learn. The masterclass was also very interactive as audience members were allowed to ask questions.

While, most of the guests appeared to be having a good time,  some complained that the event was exactly as last year’s with no new attraction(s).

A  fair goer, Adeola mentioned she had enjoyed the offerings of two stands i.e. Frootychoos, Food Convee, but would have wanted to see more African foods vendors.

For another fair goer, Mrs Patience, the masterclasses at the fair was a major attraction for her

Others attendees, Allure Vanguard spoke included MTV Base VJ, Samantha Walsh, who said, “It is a great place to network and then l love food.”

Entreprenuer, Wale Popoola, said, he came to “have a look around and see if my clients are here.’‘ And for Ajayi Moyo, she said, ” I came to see if I can see something to inspire me to start my business”
