Football legend, Kanu Nwankwo and wife, Amara give us #couple goals as they keep fit (photos)

It seem a case of a couple who stays fit together stays together, as Amara Kanu and her football legend husband, Nwankwo Kanu shared some photos of them doing some exercise routines together.
Amara, who launched a book some months ago, on healthy living, was inspired by her husband’s battle with a near fatal heart disorder. The lovely couple gave us couple goals as they are pictured keeping fit and healthy.
In 2014 precisely, 8 years after he first had urgent surgery to replace an aortic valve, Amara and Nwankwo were lying in bed together when she noticed that something didn’t sound right about his heartbeat. The rhythm was “irregular and odd”. She encouraged him to get his heartbeat checked – an intuition that proved her fears to be true. He was close to death and she quite literally had saved his life. In no time, he was sent to Ohio to have life-saving open-heart surgery.
Now Amara has channelled all the diet and fitness knowledge she has learned over the years into a new book called Healthy Living with Amara Kanu, stressing, “Listening to your body could save your life”.
