Yesterday, the ex-governor of Edo State, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole paid a surprise visit to his “daughter”, Miss Joyce Imasuen Osaivbie, who was celebrating her 15th birthday.

Joyce is an intelligent young girl despite being blind. She is also currently a student of Queens College Lagos.

Comrade Adams Oshiomhole and his wife,  Iara took interest in Joyce when they discovered that her father and elder brother are equally blind.

From that moment, they sponsored her education and personal welfare. They fondly refer to her as their daughter.

To honour Joyce on her birthday in a grand way, Oshiomhole paid her a surprise visit in her family’s modest home with a beautiful cake to celebrate the special day.

He did not go alone as he was accompanied an entourage of over 40 persons which included the honourable Speaker of the Edo House of Assembly, the Deputy Speaker, Majority Leader, 18 other honourable members of the House, ex-commissioners and his personal aides.
