Nigerian artist, Laolu Senbanjo, who worked with Beyonce on her Lemonade album gave a TED Talk recently, highlighting the fact that, he was only one in millions of other artistes on the continent of Africa and each artist had a story to tell.

Laolu gave a TED Talk, titled “Sacred Art of the Ori”  at the TED2017 Conference in Vancouver, British Columbia, CA in April 2017.

He shared his life’s experiences; making a life altering decision to give up his profession as a Human Rights Lawyer to chase his dream of doing Art full time in New York

In his talk, Laolu shared how he found his mantra, “Everything is my Canvas” how he started his Performance Art and how he had the opportunity to work with Beyonce.

Laolu also  emphasized the importance of the African art as being beyond the pieces, you can pick up at Harlem market in New York.

He  noted that the African continent is blessed with lots of artists, each with a unique story to tell.
