“It doesn’t matter where you’re coming from, keep faith”- Top photographer, Kola Oshalusi charges

By Sewe Ishola,

Top photographer, Kola Oshalusi dropped his camera for a few moments as he let fans into his past, by sharing how he came from a humble background but by the dint of hardwork, he had been able to make a name for himself.

He wanted fans to know that your background doesn’t matter as long as you’re willing to put in the work and “keep faith.”

The photographer revealed the fact even though he grew up in the 90s, he watched black and white TV, as that was only what they had and his wardrobe was limited to whatever they could get from the popular second hand goods market in Lagos, Katangowa market.

I definitely grew up in the 90's but never really experienced it, I mean how could i when we couldn't afford it? I saw the world only on our black and white TV box till I got into d tertiary institution I witnessed the day broadcast moved from 4pm daily to 24hrs, listened to cassette tapes till I graduated, could only watch VHS in our neighbors house, fashion was tough since the "Gatankwa second hand market" was a once in 6-7months luxury. So when I had to attend @bolanle 90's party I really wanted to v fun but was too busy to go shopping for clothes to match d theme. So I pulled what I could from my wardrobe and it didn't look so bad playing 90's hip-hop act thanks to @sharonojong magic twist. So Touching how easily I can afford almost anything now. Moral of the story it doesn't matter where u coming from, as long as you keep at it and keep faith, things will definitely fall into place and u can sit beside @adelaoye and savour Fanice chocolate #keepfaith ?@bayodesylvester
