Nollywood stars show up to support Yul Edochie’s political ambition

By Rita Chioma,
Few days ago, Nollywood stars, gathered under one umbrella to support one of their own who is an Anambra State gubernatorial aspirant, Yul Edochie.
The likes of Chigozie Atuanya, Ken Eric, Rachel Okonkwo and more stormed Anambra, the heartbeat of Delta State to join Yul Edochie Campaign Organization, which is solely aimed at winning the Governor’s seat of power for the aspirant.
Yul Edochie has been relentlessly making efforts to win the hearts of his people and make them believe in giving the youth a chance to make a change.
‘Politicians have failed us‎. So, I am in the race to touch the lives of Anambra people positively.
Always remember that if you are not part of the solution you are part of the problem. The problems of Anambra people have come to the last bus stop.
I joined the race to harness the creative potentials of the youths and the resource-endowment of Anambra to move the state to the next level of development,” he told Allure Vanguard.
Of course, one question many fans of the 35-year-old actor have, is what happens to his acting career once he moves into mainstream politics?
He allayed fears saying this project will not derail his Nollywood involvement.
‘It will not stop my acting career at all. I intend to combine both roles effectively. However, I’m willing to jettison acting to face governance for four years should it be required of me.
An actor also has a right to contest for public office like every other citizen of Nigeria. So, I think the fact that I’m an actor is a major plus not a setback,’ he assured.
