My dad dictated songs to me while on the toilet seat- Music legend, Femi Kuti

Music legend, Femi Kuti shared some of the memorable moments he had with his late father, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti.
In a recent chat, Femi revealed that he used to write down some of Fela’s lyrics while he used the toilet.
He said:
“So many…because he (Fela) was a fun guy. A funny man. It’s not possible to just say one. I have so many other memorable moments with my father as he was a special character”
“There was a time he just be on the toilet seat and tell me to bring pen and paper to start writing. He would dictate one of his songs. ‘Teacher don’t teach me nonsense’ was one of the songs I wrote for him”
Femi also revealed his favourite Fela song to be ‘overtake done, overtake overtake’ which according to him has a good melody and horn arrangement.
