By Yemisi Suleiman

As part of its CSR project and fashion series aimed at supporting young budding designers across Africa, Polo Avenue recently hosted guests to an exclusive viewing of young designer  Weiz Dhurm Franklyn’s Spring Summer’18 Collection dubbed ‘Journey through the Pyramids’.
Held at the Polo Luxury outfit Victoria Island, the event featured a captivating runway show of glamorous frocks that exuded pure sophistication, which very well encapsulates the refined elegance of the Polo Avenue clientele.
Speaking about his new collection, Wisdom Anaba, the young creative force behind the Weiz Dhurm Franklyn label described it as “an amalgamation of carefully hand beaded designs with dramatic silhouettes, luscious layers and sultry sheer features, all intricately woven for today’s fearlessly fashionable woman.” The collection is both soft and theatrical, all inspired by the designer’s recent trip to Egypt.
Thanking guests for their presence at the exclusive viewing, Ms. Obayuwana reiterated the commitment of Polo Avenue to its Fashion Series initiative stating that “The long-term growth of Nigeria and largely Africa’s fashion industry is grounded in developing visible and viable initiatives such as our Fashion Series which aptly promotes African talents while ensuring Nigeria in particular remains at the forefront of creativity, style and innovation.”
