‘I’m still praying for a husband’ – Chizzy Alichi, actress

By Rita Chioma,
Few weeks ago, Asaba-based Nollywood actress, Chizzy Alichi, dedicated a befitting mansion she single-handedly built for her parents after demolishing their former mud house in Enugu State.
Still in the celebratory mood, Allure Vanguard reached out to her to find out her motivation.
Hear her: “I came from a poor family but I am determined to make it through hard work  to make myself and my family proud. I didn’t want my background to discourage me. I didn’t like the way we always stayed in Enugu town  every Christmas while my friends would travel and come back to tell me how they enjoyed their holiday in the village. So, I started saving to fulfill my father’s long time wish to have a befitting house in the village.”
She continued: “I was focused to make myself and family proud by forsaking brazilian wigs and designer clothes. But people didn’t know what I was doing.  First, I moved my parents from one room in a public yard, to a 3 bedroom flat in the heart of Enugu City, before building the village house but the people, who were laughing at me are still staying there.”
Enquiring further whether she’s currently in any serious relationship, the Agricultural Engineer graduate said she’s still praying for the man of her dreams.
I’m still single but not searching though. I’m praying for an understanding person that will support my career, so we can live in peace and have kids. I don’t want divorce. I want a man that I can call a friend and also very hard working.
I don’t care about his height and tribe but the bank account matters because I want a man that will be able to take good care of me while am also working to get my own money,” she stated.
