Back then, berets were not necessarily a fashion item, they were part of the school uniform for girls. Guess what? We have gone past that era, berets are now a fashion item for every lady should have.
On the runways, red carpets and events, berets are gently taking over the fashion space.
Infusing berets into your outfit is a cool way to stay on top of your fashion game. Berets says you are cool, calm, chic and collected.
You have the option to choose any colour that best matches you wear and complements your look.
Berets were even popularised by music diva., Tiwa savage in her ‘Malo’ video that featured Wizkid. Another singer, Simi was also pictured wearing berets, which she paired with jeans on white top and red suspenders.
Now, berets can be worn on denim trousers, jumpsuits, dresses or even shorts! Just know what works for you best.
Here are some beret-inspired looks to give you some fashion cues.
