Tanzanian police arrests musician, Diamond Platnumz over indecent social media post

In what the Tanzanian police considered as the abuse of social media and indecent, one of Africa’s top musicians – Naseeb Abdul Juma, popularly known as Diamond Platnumz was arrested by them for posting a video clip of himself kissing a woman on Instagram.
This is coming few weeks after the award-winning “bongo flava” musician threatened to leave the country when his songs were included in list of more than 10 banned by the government for having sexually suggestive video images or lyrics.
According to reports, Tanzania information Minister Harrison Mwakyembe said that the musician violated the Electronic and Postal Communications (Online Content) Regulations, introduced a few weeks ago.
He added that the authorities plan to file charges against the musician, who was discovered to have removed the offending Instagram post.
