Singer, Niniola gets nomination for BET Award

Singer and songwriter, Niniola Apata, better known as Niniola, has been nominated in the Viewer’s Choice ‘Best International Act’ category for 2018 BET Award.
The 31-year-old took to Instagram to express her excitement at the nomination, saying that she will love to win the award.
“I honestly can’t hide my excitement, Congrats to us all. Please guys I really would love to win this… Baby Girl NINI just got nominated for #BETAwards2018 Viewer’s Choice ‘Best International Act’,” she wrote.
She rose to recognition in 2013 after finishing third runner-up on the sixth season of Project Fame West Africa. Upon the release of her breakthrough debut single “Ibadi”, Niniola was nominated in the “Most Promising Act to Watch” category at the 2015 Nigeria Entertainment Awards.
Music superstars, Davido and Tiwa Savage, were nominated in the BET Awards 2018 International Act category according to the nominees’ list made public on last month.
Davido is widely tipped to emerge the winner at this year’s event, but he also faces competition from rappers, Cassper Nyovest from South Africa, Stormzy and J Hus from the UK among others.
