Singers, Don Jazzy, Dr. Sid get PVC

More celebrities are gearing up for the next general elections by first getting their permanent voters card (PVC).

Latest addition to growing list is Mavin Records boss, Don Jazzy and label mate, Dr. Sid.

Aside encouraging their fans to do same, the move comes also after recent tragic incidents in the country, which many believe are avoidable if the right leaders are voted into office.

Don Jazzy took to Instagram on Friday to reveal that he has come in spite of the rain to register for his PVC, telling his followers that prayer alone won’t fix the country’s problem.

“We have prayed. But prayer without works is dead. We have to take action. Go get your PVC’s guys. Later you can decide for yourself who you want to vote for. Lost my card so went with the guys to get a replacement,” he wrote.

Recall that earlier this month, actress Omotola Jalade Ekinde collected her own PVC after which she revealed she has never voted or tried to in any of the country’s previous elections, adding that the violent nature that characterised past elections in Nigeria was the reason she stayed away from polling units.

Other celebrities such as Falz, Ini Edo and Zainab Balogun have also collected their PVC in a bid to encourage Nigerians to get theirs for the upcoming general election.
