Unveiling face of Super Eagles traditional wear designer, Esimaje Awani

Nigerians have been speaking positively about the designers who
designed the traditional attire worn by the Super Eagles to Russia on
Monday, with many wondering who the designer is.
Many have even tagged the attire as the “best fashion team” at the
Russia 2018 World Cup which kicks off on today.
The name of the designer is Esimaje Awani.
Awani’s identity was revealed by social media user, Freedom Atsepoyi,
aka ‘Mr Jollof’.
Awani, the CEO of GT Stitches, is a Nigerian-Canadian designer based
in Delta State.
The attire has also attracted international media attention similar to
the now sold out Super Eagles Nike jersey.
Awani’s outfits earned the Super Eagles rating as “the team with the
best travelling uniform” in Russia.
The rating comes days after a world fashion magazine GQ rated Nigerian
Super Eagles Jersey as the best for the 2018 World Cup.
