Kemi Adetiba reacts to news of King of Boys grossing N105M in cinema

Movie maker, Kemi Adetiba has reacted to news that her movie, King of Boys, has grossed N105 million at the cinema.

In fact, she revealed that she cried when she first heard the news.

In a post to Instagram, the 38-year-old attributed the success to the favour of God and hard work .

Adetiba thanked the cast and crew for their role in making the movie a success, noting that the production process was not particularly easy.

The cinematographer also thanked the fans for their support.
She wrote: “I cried when they first told me about this late last night. If you knew the full story about our long, grueling journey to get here, you would understand the tears. “There were obstacles in form of circumstances, there were obstacles in form of people. Remember, we couldn’t even have a proper opening weekend. One thing that didn’t change was the goal at the end, and one thing that was constant was God’s wings and direction every step of the way.
This is not luck. This is not a fluke. It involved A LOT of hard work and militant focus, but the most important is the grace of God. If you’re not sure yet, I’ll tell you for free that God has had his hand permanently on my life, my hands, and on KOB. All glory to him always. I’m so grateful to him, I’m so grateful to the dedicated cast and crew that broke back to make this happen, to my distribution team @filmoneng that stay pulling out all the stops… And finally, grateful for you all that supported with your time and by spending money to take this film to where it is now. You guys pushed this movie as if it were YOURS and you were part of the KOB family. And that’s because you are!! Thank you all so much.”
