Ooni of Ife foundation commissions Bolanle Austin-Peter-produced Queen Moremi ‘The Musical’
The Ooni of Ife’s foundation, House of Oduduwa has commissioned Bolanle Austin-Peters to produce the first of its kind Queen Moremi ‘The Musical’
‘The Musical’ relives the legendary tale of a woman who sacrificed everything, her marriage, her son and even risk death in order to secure the future of the people of Ile-Ife.
According to the Cultural Ambassador of QMA Initiative and the Executive Producer of Queen Moremi Ajasoro ‘The Musical’, Princess Ronke Ademiluyi:
” It is part of His Majesty’s vision to transmit authentic African stories to the next generation for posterity”
The stage play- Queen Moremi Ajasoro ‘The Musical’ is to be produced by award-winning producer,Bolanle Austin-Peters.
It tells the story of the super African heroine bringing to life the rich and colourful ancestral Yoruba culture and heritage through the deeds of the Queen Moremi using dance, music and costume.
The play scheduled to hold from the 21st December 2018 to 2nd of january 2019 at Terra Kulture, Victoria Island, Lagos, features seasoned and upcoming actors such as Bimbo Manuel, Bambam of Big Brother Naija, Lala Akindoju, Femi Branch,Deyemi Okanlawon and Kehinde Bankole.
