Tosyn Bucknor’s sister, husband, thanks all for support during funeral programme

Late broadcaster, Tosyn Bucknor’s husband, Boyer Aurelien; and sister, Funke Bucknor-Obruthe have expressed their gratitude to friends and colleagues, for their support during the funeral programme.

The remains of Tosyn was laid to rest yesterday at Ikoyi Vaults, after a funeral service.

They both took to their Instagram page to pen down heartfelt thanksgiving.

Boyer wrote: “From the bottom of our hearts, we are grateful.

“Families, friends, committee, pastors, benefactors, Industry friends, colleagues, Zapphaire, Furtullah, LTJ, fans. You are all in our hearts.

“We’ll keep on reading all your messages as they keep us going. We appreciate the love, from all of you.”

While Funke wrote: “Thank you all so so much. The support has been overwhelming (Tosyn will say Funke don’t you have another word to use?)

“From those that called, sent texts and WhatsApp messages, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram messages and comments and posts, to the physical visits and prayers and not forgetting the financial support.

“I didn’t have to lift a finger, I didn’t have to do anything, I wanted to but they didn’t allow us.

“Tosyn’s friends, colleagues were amazing. Oh chai. My friends nkan? The Zapphaire events and decor by furtullah team, My clients, my social media friends, my industry colleagues and generally everyone showed up for us.

“I’m like is this how love is? Is this how people care?

“That was what blew my mind.

In less than 7 days, we put together the best of what my sister would have loved. All her Favourite things and her Favourite people…. There is so much more to do in this life and the most important one is to live a life of impact and purpose and make eternity as we would all pass through that door someday as Tosyn has done.”
