Actress, Kabirah Kafidipe to produce Islamic-themed series in 2019
Nollywood actress, Kabirah Kafidipe, is planning to produce Islamic-themed series in the coming year.
The graduate of Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye, who yesterday underwent the Wolimah process to mark the completion of her Quranic/Arabic study in Lagos, is putting finishing touches to the project.
The event held at Monbitu Sa’adatil-il Miyat Arabic ad Islamic Institute, located in Ijesatedo.
Reports say the 38-year-old caused emotions to swirl when she fluidly recited the Holy Quran, earning applause while some of her guests were moved into tears.
At a point, she could not resist tears as she received the nod of the Amir and the many people present.
The actress came into limelight with her first major role a 1999 Tunde Kelani’s ‘Saworo Ide’, where she acted as Araparegangan, alongside Kunle Afolayan as Areseja Bata.
Many of her colleagues, family members and friends were present at the event.
