On September 7, a few days before its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival(TIFF) , it was announced that Netflix had acquired Genevieve Nnaji’s directorial debut, Lion Heart, making it the first Nigerian Netflix Original movie.

Netflix acquired the movie for an undisclosed amount but sure left Nnaji smiling to the bank and took Nollywood a huge step higher.

Yesterday, the Nollywood diva held exclusive screening for the new movie in Lagos.
