Former president, Shehu Shagari passes away at 93
Former president, Shehu Shagari is dead. He passed away at the National Hospital Abuja on Friday at age 93.
The news of his demise was broken by the Governor of Sokoto state, Amin Tambuwal in a tweet.
This news was also confirmed by his grandson, Bello Shagari who in a tweet wrote:
“I regret announcing the death of my grandfather, H. E Alhaji Shehu Shagari, who died right now after brief illness at the National Hospital, Abuja”
