Actress, Funke Adesiyan praises Lagos First Lady for her unprecedented calmness in face of harassment

Actress-turned-politician, Funke Adesiyan, has praised Lagos First Lady, Mrs Bolanle Ambode, for being calm, in the face of harassment.

In an Instagram post on Wednesday, she described Mrs Ambode as a “very beautiful and highly level headed mother.”

She added that though she feels the dark, twisted politics, constant calculations and permutations, she, however, urged the Ambodes not to outspend their goodwill.

“Your goodwill AA, will always open doors for you sir.,” she wrote.

Here is her post:

“One of my all-time favorite TV series is #gameofthrones

“I feel the content owners are students of very dark and twisted political underworld. The curves and turns of politics, the constant calculations and permutations. The very silent moves and constant monitoring of stalwarts only to be overturned by the neglected “nobody”. It’s been proven over time that politics isn’t necessarily a venture for the highly literate but the highly intelligent ones. If you are literate and intelligent, LUCKY YOU! I am still taking notes keenly.

“No matter how smart you think you are politically, your get out jail card should be goodwill. Never outspend your goodwill.

Your goodwill AA, will always open doors for you sir.

“Kudos to our very beautiful and highly level headed mother #bolanleambode I personally witnessed her show of unprecedented calmness in the face of harassment. A clear case of a bone acting like pure meat! Someday, the world will know you, know your heart and how much you’ll NEVER tear down the body of Christ.

“There are few things you should have done differently sir but hey, I’ve got a zillion things I personally should have done differently. So do you! And you!! And everyone!!! I owe you a very cold bottle of #heineken sir…someday in the future.”

Funke purportedly won the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary in Ibadan south-east zone, for a seat in the Oyo state house of assembly has been taken away from her. However, the mandate was forcefully retrieved and she was replaced with an “anointed candidate”.

She however stated that despite what happened, she hold in her heart nothing but love for my people and subsequently called on her supporters to continue to support her party in the forthcoming elections.
