Popular blogger and influencer, Tosin Ajibade also known as Olorisupergal has listed guidelines on how to pick a profitable niche as an Influencer.

The media girl shared this on her Instagram platform hinting on how best to be relevant and outstanding as a Influencer in a particular niche.

Pick a topic you enjoy talking about
Passion is very important in the niche you choose as an influencer as it helps you have staying power through the phase of building your brand, so you can be consistent until you have your big break.

Check for competence, knowledge and experience
Check to ensure that the passion niche you are considering is aligned with your competencies, knowledge and experiences.
Passion alone cannot help you become an influencer in any niche. Hence, ensure that the niche you are picking is complementary to your skills and experiences.

Research that niche
Find out those who are the top influencers in that niche. What exactly are they known for? What audience do they focus on? How do they engage their audience?
The answers to all these questions will enable you know if that niche is right for you

Specialize: pick a smaller niche
Even after picking and researching a niche. Try to niche down. For example, if you passionate about the travel niche, your skills and experiences match, you’ve also researched that niche, now you need to determine what sub-audience you can focus on in that niche. You can decide to pick luxury travel or adventure travel. The important thing is you pick an underserved audience so you can stand out easily

Make sure it’s profitable
This is very important. Ensure the niche is profitable before jumping right in. Do your research on how influencers in that niche monetize their influence and make up your mind if it’s a niche you want to focus on.
